A Federal judge ruled that the CDC over-stepped its authority in issuing its nationwide eviction ban, but similar bans remain in place by state and local governments across the country, and many of them are also being challenged in court.

Will those bans be lifted? Will the Federal Court ruling have implications beyond the rental market and apply to the moratorium on foreclosures for government-backed loans? How does this impact the proposal from the CFPB to suspend foreclosures and evictions for the remainder of 2021?

Join our panel of experts on Tuesday, May 11th, at 10:00AM Pacific as we explore this topic in depth. Who were the petitioners, and what was their standing? What was the basis of the ruling? How broad is it, and will it stand up under appeal? And - importantly - what are the short-and-long-term implications for tenants, landlords and the default servicing industry?
